i have a friend who lives in south florida and breeds champion pitbulls. he recently was held up and robbed in his own home so someone could take his beloved dogs.the got away with 11. if you look in the miami herald or the sunsentinel you can see the whole report to get the specifics...but my problem is the comments that were made about the articles. some people are still under the impression that pitbulls are these evil creatures that are used only for fighting and owned by drug dealers. as someone who has known this man and his dogs taken a few into my home when he moved i can honestly tell you that these dogs are not used for fighting and the owner is a granite and marble specialist. if these dogs were used for fighting do you think that these people would have been able to just take these dogs out of their home and one of those dogs just had a litter of puppies and most agressive dogs probably would have protected their pups but she didnt she let them take her and her pups. to those people out there who think that pitbulls are an agressive breed i must tell yoiu that yoiu are ignorant!!! it isnt the breed of dog it is how you raise them and how yoiu take care of them. i feel bad for this breed cuz they are depicted on the news as being violent all the time, but what you dont see on th enews is all the chuhuahuas and poodles and all those other little dogs that are more agressive then the large breeds. thats why they got the name as ankle biters!!! i had my puppy who is pit at the petstore and a lady walks up to me with her son and says aww how cute can my sun pet her and i said yes of course... then the lady asked what she was and i said a pitbull ... the lady grabbed her sons hand and pulled him away saiying oh you dont want to touch that dog it will bite your hand off...seriously this is no joke nd just wanted to smack the lady and tell her how stupid she was. the reason fo rths blog is for you pitbull lovers out there to please comment the newspaper reports and tell them how great yoiur dogs are...cuz it seems that only the people who want to see them all killed is making the comments. thank you so much for your time in reading this little vent fest-amanda
