Pit bulls are banned under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991
Two more dogs have been seized in the Village area of south Belfast after local residents contacted authorities.
An operation to take the pit bull-type dogs was carried out by the USPCA, the police and council dog wardens.
Last Thursday, two dogs were seized in the same area. The issue of dangerous dogs has been in the news since a recent Spotlight/Panorama programme.
A USPCA spokesman said heightened public awareness had led to these latest seizures.
